Notable Day

Daddy here, Today is a very notable day. On November 13,2006 when our sweet girl came into our lives she was 9 months and 10 days old. Today she is 18 months and 21 days old. She has now been in our family longer than she was an orphan.

It has been such a blessing watching her grow and thrive. She is funny,smart and just the most adorable little girl ever.

Another notable event. Today Cousin Matisse leaves for Cal State Monterey Bay. Seems like yesterday she was a little girl and today she is off to college. It makes me appreciate every moment with our sweet Jinji. GO OTTERS!

Tomorrow is my mom's birthday. I feel her love everyday. I know that she is just delighted and proud of her grandkids and she is watching over them.

Worth the wait

We were finally able to attend the FCC (Families with Children from China) Summer picnic as a family with a child from China. Jinji and Daddy marched in the Parade of Provinces. Jinji is the only member of our FCC chapter from Guizhou. The day was delightful and the ladies from FCC put together lots of fun activities for the kids.

Silly Hat Day

Since Jinji's hat had alphabets & numbers, Daddy called it the "Hat of Knowledge".


Perhaps the things on top were brain waves.


Jinji can feel the knowledge pouring in.


Jinji's teacher's say that she had the silliest hat on Silly Hat Day. Mommy could tell that she loved the attention it garnered.

18 months old

Jinji had her 18 month check up on her 18 month day. Her pediatrician says she is ahead on her developmental milestones. She stood on a regular scale to be weighed and weighed in at 25 lbs. She is 2' 8".
