So Thankful!

We are thankful for family, friends, home and hearth.

Miss Jinji was given her choice from the meat tray after she said "I pick!". She picked a leg, which is also her mother's favorite.

We hosted 18 for a potluck dinner. There was a bounty of food, fun, laughter and love.

First Annual Davee Family Day

Our first family proclammation was declaring November 13th Davee Family Day. We will celebrate the holiday in special ways each year.

This year was a trip to Disneyland.

A Year Ago Today, We Became a Family!

We received this photo from a family that traveled with us to get their daughter, Justine (Thank you Cieslak Family). It was taken just hours after Jinji was placed in our arms. We were asked to meet in a conference room in the hotel for adoption photos.

Retrospective

A year ago I clung to this photo. It represented our struggle, our hope, our sacrifices, and our dream.

At that time, I didn't know the weight of my daughter in my arms. I didn't know her young skin was so soft and warm. I didn't know she could make my heart sing when she calls me "Mommy".

In less than a year, I have become "Mommy".

The Papparazzi

At 21 months

Jinji growing faster than we can keep up with. She loves books, art, and mimicking us. Her language is amazing. Her eagerness to learn thrills us.

Despite the fact that Jinji is moving toward the willful two-year-old stage, Mommy & Daddy comment daily on her beauty, sweet disposition, and loving heart. How could we be this blessed?

Hoppy Halloween

Jinji dressed as a bunny for Halloween. Her school hosted a Halloween Parade to allow Moms & Dads enjoy the kids in costume. Mommy and Daddy are still beaming from the experience. We are goofy parents, proud of our little one. This is the journey and reward that we hoped for.
