Our Social Butterfly

Jinji had quite a social weekend.
Saturday was the Families with Children from Chin (FCC) annual Chinese New Year celebration. Our beautiful Chinese princess had lots of fun honoring the Year of the Ox with her "sisters. This is another of the outfits we bought in China in anticipation of these events.
Along with professional lion dancers, the kids had their own lion dance. Jinji was set to participate while backstage, but ended up choosing to sit and watch with us.

Sunday Jinji was attended a royal ball, which was her classmate's 4th birthday party.

Mommy & Daddy are just lucky Jinji let's us tag along.

What's Black & White & Cute All Over

Mommy loves this outfit. Jinji-not so much. It doesn't have enough "twirl-factor" for her. Mommy gets her to wear by telling her not to wear it. She picked it enthusiastically. (I wonder if this strategy will work when she is 16 and crazy about the "bad" boy?)

Better Late than Never

Daddy had one more surprise for Jinji. It was delayed because of the rain. Jinji now has her own swing and slide set.

Birthday Circle Ceremony

Jinji's class held a birthday circle ceremony, which celebrated her life up to her 3rd birthday. Her teacher read what Mommy and Daddy wrote about her when she was an infant, 1-year-old, and 2-year-old. A part of the ceremony involved Jinji walking around the "sun" for every year of age. After the ceremony, Jinji shared her Hello Kitty cupcake treats with her friend.
We topped the day off with 3 carousel rides and dinner out.

Our Darling Girl is Three-Years-Old Today!

Jinji has been looking forward to celebrating her birthday. The one thing that she asked for was a birthday hat. So, when Mommy & Daddy saw this hat with 3 "candles" we snapped it up. We had a small breakfast celebration before school.

We opened a gift from Great Uncle Warren & Great Aunt Elaine.
"Thank you!"
After dinner, we had another small celebration with a cupcake "cake" and a few gifts.
Tomorrow, Jinji class with have a Birthday Circle time. Mom & Dad will attend with goodies.

The Big Hello Kitty Birthday Bash is on Saturday!
