We are still here, just busy

We know it has been awhile since you've seen anything new. Our time has been spread in many directions. The first part of March was spent fighting upper respiratory infections. Mommy, Daddy and baby were all on antibiotics. Jinji needed two doses and as I am writing this I am waiting for a call back from the pediatrician because her cough has returned in less than 2 days.

We (Daddy) have completely demo'd the master bath. We are acting as our own general contractors. The plumber has replaced 40+ year-old piping (more needed) and our fabulous Master electrician wired a sophisticated lighting/electrical array. Do-it-yourself projects are not as easy as before we became parents, but things are moving in a forward directions.

Jinji is "diaper-free"! This was all her idea. Mommy was reluctant-diaper have there merits. When Jinji's teacher told me that Jinji was removing her diaper at school and going commando, I had to admit it was time. We used the potty training in less than a day method over the President's holiday weekend and we have not looked back.

Along with the world of "big girl" panties, came "big girl" attitude. Jinji wants to do everything herself. This flood of independence was tough on Mommy, who wasn't ready to give up her baby. I guess Mommy has to don her "big girl" panties, too.

Oh my, Jinji is a big girl now eh?? My son was exactly the same. He was potty trained by 26 months old and never looked back. At 7 he still has a very independant attitude.

Jinji and Liliana are both donning their big girl panties, attitude and all. I don't know where turned in our little baby for a little girl, but it happened somewhere last year. Jinji is just so cute. Sorry to hear that you all have been ill. Hope you all get completely better soon.
Miss you,
Bailey & Liliana :o)
