We stayed in the hotel on Wednesday, as Jinji was starting a cold. Late afternoon, we got a bit of cabin fever and took a short walk outside thehotel. It was warmer than the morning but still a bit cool. We were stopped by an elderly Chinese women, who walked right up to us. She began inspecting Jinji's bundling and gave us a grinning approval. The people of this culture see us as a part of their family and she saw herself has Jinji's Chinese grandma, checking to make sure we were be responsible parents. We delighted in her approval.

I spoke to Denise Shields (emily's mom) and she said that Dr. Patel already has a picture of Jinji on his wall! So many people already love your girl!! Looking forward to Thanksgiving...
